Living with disability in a remote community in the Torres Strait Islands

In person
Date TBC
Time TBC

The Disability Dialogue is travelling to the community of Thursday Island/Waiben in September to meet the community and hear what it’s like to live in a remote area with disability.

The Open Dialogue event will hear from Torres Strait Islander people with disability and their supporters discussing things like:

– What barriers do people with disability face living in the Torres Strait Islands?

– What support do people with disability and their families have and don’t have?

– What are the positives of living in a remote community living with disability?

Please note: This Open Dialogue will be held in person on Thursday Island and will not be livestreamed.
