About This Event
Australia is very familiar with weather-related disasters. Unfortunately our country has faced lots of fires and floods – and these affect everyone.
But for people with disability, the effects of these disasters can look quite different. It can be extra challenging for us to stay safe, to get information or to escape from danger.
So what kinds of things need to be in place to make sure people with disability can manage during weather-related disasters?
What can be done to prepare so that people with disability are able to stay safe during these disasters?
What kind of things do other groups and communities outside of Australia do that we can learn from?
We will hear from people with disability about how they approach weather-related disaster planning and prevention efforts, including from First Nations communities and international perspectives.
Register now to be a part of what we know will be a super interesting event.
